M-factors can now be correctly checked in LVS with details given below.

- For CMOSP18 Technology:

The M-factor problem has been fixed by people at CMC. Thus LVS checks M-factors correctly with no changes needed to be made.

- For CMOSP25 Technology:

The following steps are needed to be done in order to set up LVS with correct M-factor check:
    1. Download the new diva rule file (divaLVSp25.rul) here. Save the file anywhere in your directory.
    2. Open up a LVS window. On the window under Rules File, type in the correct path to the new file (or use Browze to set up the path).
    3. On the LVS window, unselect Rules Library (otherwise Cadence will look for a rules file under the rules library you specified).
    4. Now M-factors are correctly checked in LVS.
-For CMOSP35 Technology:

The following steps are needed to be done in order to set up LVS with correct M-factor check:
    1. Download the new diva rule file (divaLVSp35.rul) here. Save the file anywhere in your directory.
    2. Open up a LVS window. On the window under Rules File, type in the correct path to the new file (or use Browze to set up the path).
    3. On the LVS window, unselect Rules Library (otherwise Cadence will look for a rules file under the rules library you specified).
    4. Now M-factors are correctly checked in LVS.
