Parallel Timing Analysis for Faster Design Cycles and Improved Optimization


This work introduces Tatum, a fast and flexible Static Timing Analysis (STA) engine. Tatum is optimized for high performance, featuring cache optimized data structures and parallel analysis. To illustrate the benefits of fast STA, our FPT paper shows how Tatum can be used to increase optimization quality during VPR placement by performing more frequent timing analysis.
