- Each week there will be a number of papers to read.
A reading list is included below.
The papers will be available from the copy shop in the basement of
Sandford Fleming, Room B540 for some fee.
- Each week, one student will be responsible for presenting
synopses of the papers and leading the discussion.
The synopses should be available as handouts and contain the
following:
- A summary of what the paper is about.
- Comments on the paper -- what's good, what's bad, what does
it show, and where does it lead.
Although I believe I have all the references, there may be some that
have been missed, or things available on the web.
Students are encouraged to add other information if it can be found.
At the end of the course, the goal is that everyone has a document
that contains a good summary of the current state of the art.
I'm considering putting all this on the web, so it would be preferred if the
format was in something that can create HTML.
