IPCC AR4 Working Group 1 Authors

These are the 619 contributing authors of Working Group I of the the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report. This group's section covers the scientific basis, and lays the foundation for the rest of the report. Authors are listed in order of most highly cited.

My blog 'Green Herring' back to Faces of Climate Science start page

One author, Christopher Landsea of the U.S. NOAA AOML, resigned from the IPCC AR4 wg1, in Januaty 2005; Landsea disagrees that projected warming will lead to increased hurricane risks. In his resignation letter he states that 'I have come to view the part of the IPCC to which my expertise is relevant as having become politicized.' This is the only such resignation from AR4 wg1 that I've seen reported.
