Monterey Conference Center
Monterey, California
February 26 - 28, 2014

The ACM/SIGDA International Symposium on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays is the premier conference for presentation of advances in all areas related to FPGA technology.

The presentations from this year's technical papers and workshop are now available online at TC-FPGA (thanks to Andre DeHon for uploading them), and the full papers are available in the ACM digital library.

Press release: "FPGAs Everywhere -- The Cloud and Mobile".

The final program is now available.

Congratulations to Safeen Huda, Jason Anderson and Hirotaka Tamura of The University of Toronto and Fujitsu Laboratories on receiving the Best Paper Award for their FPGA 2014 paper Optimizing Effective Interconnect Capacitance for FPGA Power Reduction.

This year's program began on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in the Monterey Marriott (2nd floor) with a workshop on FPGAs in the Datacenter that explored the promise, opportunities, and challenges of using FPGAs in the data center. We heard from potential data center users of FPGAs, such as Microsoft and Google, system vendors such as IBM, and Oracle, and semiconductor manufacturers such as Intel.

The conference then had two full days of technical presentations on new ideas and results for FPGA architectures, CAD tools and applications throughout Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28. There was also an evening panel discussion Thursday, Feb. 27 exploring the success to date of FPGAs in the mobile market (including the highest volume cellphones!), and what is needed to go further with reconfigurable devices in mobile.

The program and presentations of last year's, FPGA 2013, Symposium are available online.
