The objective of this RFP is to establish
a fundamental set of broadly applicable realtime CORBA technologies, based
on mature technologies. It is an objective of the RFP to produce an RT
CORBA specification that is usable on its own merits, and that provides
a stable basis for extension. In line with these objectives the RFP solicits
technology for a Realtime ORB comprising: fixed priority scheduling, control
over ORB resources for end-to-end predictibillity, and flexible communications.
