About Us
The X-lab, directed by Prof. Xilin Liu, consists of a diverse group of thinkers/doers who create technologies to make the world a better place. Our research advances integrated circuits (ICs) and systems with integrated artificial intelligence (AI) to improve brain health, digital communication, and edge machine learning. We are passionate about pushing the boundaries of technologies and advancing human life qualities, espeically for the world’s most vulnerable and underrepresented communities.
Our lab is in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto and the Center for Advancing Neurotechnological Innovation to Application (CRANIA). We are currently collaborating with researchers across different deparments at the University of Toronto, the University Health Network (UHN), industrial partners, and top universities around the world. We are strongly committed to promoting equity, diverstiy, and inclusion (EDI) in our research environment.
